During 2024 & 2025 in Galicia some big protests were performed against "Altri", a project that pretends to build a big hydroelectric plant in Palas de Rei, this plant would consume 46.000.000 litres of water per day and became a big problem to the landscape because of it's almost 100 metres of tall chimney.
On December 2024 in Santiago de Compostela was the biggest protest againts the project, bringing 100.000 people that collapsed the city.
